Fire emerged in dust and toil,
Blood and corpses laid to soil.
Crow governed open graves,
Soul imprisoned death slaves.
Tragedy wrought loved ones,
Beloved lost fathers and sons.
Pain inflicted heart breakings,
Surefire angry hostile makings.
Country men dreadfully dedicated,
Warfare learned and educated.
Threatening merciless hate.
A pledge to an enemy’s fate.
Retaliation to wrongful oppression
High hopes of righteous succession.
Secret oppositions, sure revolution.
Battle ready men for resolution.
Taken swords, shields, and spears.
Heeding not their forefather’s fears.
Trudging on to honorable war.
Songs sang of battle lore.
Armor clashed with many dead.
Life faded in the night of dread.
But victory came with high desires.
And peace ruled the Land of Sires.

This is so good and so emotional. This was such a dark and beautiful poem all at the same time. The last stanza just pulled everything together and explained it all. Great job. Good luck!!!!
