Dear little boy or little girl,
You must listen very close;
I have a lesson to teach you
And it's importance is utmost.
You see that panel on the wall,
The one that looks like a white faced man?
That is called an electrical socket,
Stay away from it if you can!
Yes, I know it will be tempting
To lick your finger and touch
But trust me, if you do that
You won't like it very much
See, the electrical energy in the hole
Will react with your saliva
Causing your body to jolt and fry
From your toes to your conjunctivas!
So please kid, stay away from there
And from all electric objects.
Doing so will let mommy relax,
For she won't have to worry about fatal effects!

Yes, this is very good info. The message you are given here is a valuable one. Electricity is very dangerous and can take you away from here at the blink of an eye. That is why caution should be taken. Thank you for passing this along.

Yikes! A little science and a little scare, good combo to keep kids aware. Also not good to stick metal objects like paperclip or bobby pin in either!!

their fork is melted, and their child is screaming to the top of their lungs!!

Lions Have Pride!
Years ago I saw a little girl just about stick a fork into an electrical socket.
Luckily we stopped her in time, but apparently no one had ever pointed out the danger to her of playing with such things. 
Love the poem, it's a good lesson and yet written in a non-preachy way.
