I want to be greedy
Just for a day
I want to destroy your freedom
By doing what I say
I want to tear your heart open
And watch you bleed
I can't stand your behavior
While you plant your next seed
I too have been stepped on
I too have bled
But I've always been sincere
With everything I've said
I too have been lied to
I too have cried
But I have always given
Love another try
I want to disappear
When you need me most
I want no understanding
Of your ignorance lost
I want to kill your instinct
Pretending that I care
I want to promise love
In a moment of despair
I want your acceptance
While I lie and plant my seed
After watching your behavior
Can you hear these words I bleed
I too have been broken
I too have pained
But I believed that broken wounds
Could mend the heart again
I too lose all faith and hope
I too feel alone
But I believed one day
My heart would find a home

Oooh, sounds like a side dish named revenge....lol
I don't think I would like to get on your bad side....
Great write though, has all the classic avenging qualities... although I do think that love can conquer, and give you a better life....
Excellent

From a song by Robert Earl Keene:
"Love's a word I never throw around,
And when I said I'd love you till the end,
I was talking about until the day they lay me in the ground,
'Cause love's a word I never throw around."
For whatever reason as I read your poem I thought of this song. I think it is because they both speak to me of loss and the realization that someone has played havoc with the feelings of another. You expressed it beautifully.
Good job. Write on, poet.
