Blaring guitars and screaming voices
Block out the noise on the bus ride to school,
Too many thoughts run through my head
To pay attention, intill I see you.
You step on the bus,
A smirk on your face [and on mine secretly]
You take the seat closest to me,
You glance at me frequently [though you think you're being slick].
I take a glane at you here and there,
Admiring your features
At every angle
Wanting to take in your scent.
We all get off at the end of the line,
Rushing our paces for the long walk ahead [no one wants that Saturday Detention],
You quicken your pace and I try to keep up
But it's useless [your legs have longer strides than mine].
Then you disappear,
I didn't see you for weeks,
Each day making my heart
Sink.
Then as I walked passed the gym stands
On the second floor,
I see your broad smile on the picture
The Junior Varisety Swim Team Photo.
My heart beat quickens
At the site of your smiling face
Your features so familar
I could spot it a mile away,
And I pray,
Please be a Sophomore [for that's what I'll soon be].

this is a fantastic poem, it shows your emotions & it's written a bit differently to all the others in this contest so it really sticks out. its sweet the way you can fall for someone but not really know them but its a pain when you never get the chance to know them. good luck in your love life & in my contest.
