I LAID IN THE BED WITH MY HEAD AGAINST THE PILLOW,
MY HAIR A MESS AS IT WAS GLUED TO MY FACE BY THE
SWEAT RUNNUNG DOWN MY FOREHEAD.
I CLOSED MY EYES WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT TO BE OVER
AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU,YOU WERE CAUSING ME PAIN.
PAIN...
FUNNY I SPENT ALL MY LIFE RUNNING FROM IT.
EVENTUALLY I FELT WHEN YOU CAME FROM INSIDE
AND SLOWLY I OPENED MY EYES
ONLY TO SEE YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL FACE,
AND I SAW YOU CRIED FOR THE FIRST TIME.
I STRECTCHED OUT MY ARM FOR YOU AND AS I HELD YOU
I KISSED YOU THEN CHECKED YOU TO MAKE SURE YOU WERE FINE.
YOU STOPPED CRYING AS YOUR HEAD WAS RESTED AGAINST MY BREAST.
YOU'RE MY BUNDLE OF JOY AND AS LOOKED AT YOUR FATHER HE
BEAMED WITH PRIDE...
MY LITTLE MAN,MY LITTLE MAN.

Sue, I have to say that you just made child birth sound like a piece of cake with your words. LOL Even with all the pain, it is the most special time in the lives of two loving parents to see what they created through their love for each other. Are you trying to tell me something here? The category did say none. This was fantastic from start to finish and the imagery was divine. Thank you for sharing the gift of your pen once again with me.
