Ripples

Innocent, not yet aware our
entering the pool ripples
across other lives.
Crying out for our
own selfish interests
uncaring of other needs
wanting gratification.

Awakening to the
realization that
about us are tender
beings, and tripping
over others feelings
as we learn to walk on
heartshells.

Carrying bruised hearts
in hands stained by choices
made freely. We yearn to
hide in the shadows
wearing masks, so no one
can see us clearly.

    Woah.. deep

"We learn to walk on heartshells." I like it.. pretty much describes tiptoeing around everyone's feelings.

wow - this has a nice depth of emotion to it. i love the lines:

    Innocent, not yet aware our
    entering the pool ripples
    across other lives.

    Carrying bruised hearts
    in hands stained by choices
    made freely.
