her wizened skin
creased with wisdom
withered in death
hair hung limp
covering balding flesh
festered with sores
the black bird
made his loud shrill cry
as her spirit surrendered
they burnt the house
her pet flew away
never to return

You are very right. People are afraid of what they don't know or understand. It is so unfair we judge people on the outside than the inside.
