Why do you not ask the questions
That tremble uncertainly on your lips?
Can you not forgive the silence
For betraying all of your lost hope?
I see what you need & I wont be that,
Refusing to pretend & lie even more to you,
Instead I watch quietly hoping,
For the questions to never come.
Scream at me the answers that you want to hear,
As if I could make it all disappear
But as I am no miracle worker, not today
So you'll have to make do with apologies.
Speak now to me, I will be salvation
In the form of a glance of hatred
I know that that is what you need,
& what will continue to keep you real.
I know what you do behind closed doors,
When you think nobody is listening,
& I, unintentionally, mirror those scars,
I hope for a different way, just for you.
& when your tears have stopped falling,
I wont be there to pick up the pieces,
For I am help in the distance, & I can never,
Be anything but forced perfection for you.

Completely hypothetical?? I love the first verse/stanza! =]
