I saw you standing there

all alone~

no one to call you friend,

no one to call you family,

this broke my heart,

sent a chill through me,

that's not the way i see the world.

in these troubling times,

everyone needs someone

to call "friend"

to have a place to call home~

a heart, to rest in,

to feel safe within.

come child,

rest in me,

i will love you,

i will protect you,

keep you safe,

come child...
