pulled loose
frayed edges, it's too skinny
lookin' for a fat one, only that will do
tore off another and another
fingers turning a little green now
love that smell, freshly mown seas of green
i've examined so many and none are just right
can't be ripped down the middle
has to be long enough to fit between my thumbs
ah, yes, here it is
carefully placed and positioned lips
sound emerges, tentative at first
loud and clear, almost a duck call
a boyish grin erupts
noise making
from one single blade of grass
(ever tried it?)
one of my favorite things - acorn shells are next up

Productive
Kat
You are certainly productive and seem able and willing to write about anything! It gives your work a wonderful range, enviable actually,
I did wonder with the title 'Noise Making' - ah but then my mind is not as clean as it once was.
Great stuff
