Heart, I promise you can’t control,
I’ll withstand your over-riding powers
We think much alike
I’ll uphold the crying showers
Heart, I seem to walk your path
A filthy, charming road
As I witness both screams of happiness and pain
Your wisdom I have followed
You’ve led me the wrong way
A place not so dark and frightening
Abandoning me, powerless and unable to control
Leaving a feeling, painful, but enlightening
I hear you call my name,
Tempted not to follow
Heart, do u refuse to feel my pain?
Falling so deep too much to swallow
Behind the chambers, I know you listen,
Heart, I can’t let you control,
I’ll let you guide my steps,
Wallow in my soul.
