Mending Everything

We danced to the sun
and sung life away
as we clasped our sweaty hands.
And I swear
this will never end.
It's my heart that he mends
and body he tends,
Where he careses my skin.
This is love that we're in.
He sat by the water
and I watched him, my lover,
as he dazed away.
The sun was about to sleep.
Darkness over came the sand.
He slept as I held his hand,
And I whispered the last words
he'll ever hear,
"Don't forget me lover, my dear...
You mean the world to me.
You are my everything...
Oh I hope,
this will never end."
I kissed his head
and ran my fingers
through his hair.
"You are my everything..."
