[ I turn on the news and see ]

I turn on the news and see
one more horrible tragedy.
So instead of losing hope,
turn off that television
and when you got out into
this crazy world we live in,
do your best to make a difference.

    So true!

I did say two sentences. To tell the truth- this is a two liner, and two sentencer in one. The first two lines are a powerful two liner. Then followed by a hopeful sentence results in a truthful, uplifting poem. Maybe if more people did the second sentence, the first wouldn't be so true.

Thanks It's easy to dwell on all the bad stuff, god knows this world has enough of it. It's harder to try to change something about it. We should all work at that I think. Glad you liked it and if I could make you stop and think, I accomplished what I'd set out to do

Thanks. I thought about leaving it at those two top lines...but I didn't want this to just be about how screwed up the world is. We all see the tragedies and the horror...sometimes we need to keep faith that things can and will eventually get better. I wanted this to be more about hope in the face of that tragedy.
