The Book of Job
W. Peter Sanci April 17 / 2007
We all know the story of an old man by the name of Job.
He was a very holy man who believed in God, and stood
above the mob.
Then one day Satan, was talking to God and said,
I make you a little bet,
I bet you Job’s soul, that if he has enough bad things happen, he will disown you.
Well The Lord God thought he knew Job pretty well,
So He said to Satan, hey Devil, I’ll take you’re bet.
Because Job is a very holy man, I see you’re no threat.
So then it began, Satan unleashed a whole slew of trials and sufferings onto poor old Job, his three best friends
Believed, that God was punishing him for some unnamed sin.
You could say that Job began to take it on the chin.
Well I won’t go into all the sufferings and trials that
Job endured for his love of the Lord here.
Let’s just say that to the Lord, he remained very dear.
And as a result of his reaming close to the Lord, he always had his ear

Author notes
I wrote thia poem because I was thinking about this very topic, good vs evil. Why did God allow Satan to tempt poor old Job so much ? Well we'll never know the answer to that, but we do know that Job remained faithfull to the Lord, and as a result he was given back everything he had lost a 100 fold,

Makes some good points about the potential good of human nature. Not bad!
