As you walk
through the scarlet grounds
of Virginia Tech,
the scent of 32 beautiful tomorrows
is lost in the stench
of blood that was shed yesterday.

An unique perspective...
Your poem may be the shortest entry here. But, it has among the greatest impact. Great things come in small packages. Thank you for entering a soulful piece as this! Thank you again! -
Short, but stellar!!
Terrific job on providing a human touch to this epic disaster. It is a disaster because we will never know the good those 32 souls would have done. These are fives of the most powerful, emotional lines I have yet to read! Congratulations on hitting your mark with a bullseye! Excellent work!

I do like this one - so final in the brevity of the lines and the finalization of the topic. Great title gets one's attention and draws them in.
