Self Esteem

you can do it, get those hands up,
here he comes, picture him naked,
not so big now? kinda funny right?
now plant your feet, and stick it to him,
thats alright son, go ahead and stand up,
you'll get him next time,
don't let them tell you
that because your on crutches,
you can't play fair like them
get that chin up, wipe those tears
plant your feet here he comes again
reach for the ball, make eye contact,
when he makes a mistake, take advantage,
you can do it son, i love you

    All children need encouragement in what they do when young. Its how they can grow with pride, and, as you say, self esteem. This is a lovely, and very touching poem. I liked it a lot.
