Your Return

I know your there
Just out of sight
Moving through the rain.
I can feel you,
taste you
As you move out there
Watching from shadows.
Making sure there's no danger.
I smile as I hear your soft step.
Not many could hear you.
Only me,
Because your tracks
Are in my heart.
The smell of wet fur,
The sounds of reshaping,
Then your arms go around me.
I turn to lick the rain,
Off your honeyed skin.
I lead you to our bed,
Jade moves to give us room.
You pull me against your stomach.
Jade spoons against me.
You are safe once again.
I touch my gun
Beneath my pillow,
I feel your smile against my neck.
You like that I am strong,
For you are strong,
You do not feel threatened.
I sleep between my
Nimir-Raj
And my pomme de sang.
