Abundance in Radiant Fume

Catching teardrops from the moon
Lying naked in full bloom
Satin skin of grape delight
Sweet surrender from the night

Velvet hues of black and blue
Keep the light from getting through
Having faeries strip their wings
For the pleasure of their kings

Underneath the patchwork sky
Clouds become too light to cry
Catching sunbeams from the sun
Lying naked, morn has come

Author notes

A little bit of an enchanting scene, a little ambitious, and a little bit of the other.

This poem tells so many stories
I liked the part when you said

    Sweet surrender from the night
Velvet hues of black and blue

    Because you're right
At night, the rose doesn't look lavender
    pretty good
It does need some fixing here and there
    There are so many emotions
But where do you express them?
play around with this for a while
    and get back to me
    Thank you for entering

Enchanting, yes. Ambitious, yes. I like the tempo and the rhyme but your poem seems like every two lines are excerpts from different poems that were pasted into one. I see your scene so well in my mind, but the roses aren't there and the emotions that come with them seem hidden.

oooooooh, there it is! I like this poem. Just had to fish behind some of the stuff blocking what needs to be seen. Great write.
