Beyond Belief

Tears welling so suddenly
News shows the facts
    -Today thirty-three
      Tomorrow maybe more-

With the blink of an eye
Anything can change
    -Lives stop
      Families morn-

Any shot of a bullet
Can stop a heart
But the soul continues
    -To inspire to be strong
        Showing true love-

Never did anyone part
Maybe with the senses
But not with the heart
    -Don't forget
      Even if you don't know-

I just wrote a poem about this too. I live in Canada but I was touched by the story so much. Such a sad thing. Wonderful poem to them, though. Beautiful job here, Meg.

I love the message of hope conveyed here. You really did an excellent job. Today I have read many writes on this sad, sad topic, and they all have a message of hope as beautiful as yours. Great job.

    Okay.

I find reading all these to be comforting as I live in Virginia and have many friends who either are at tech or graduated from there. Yes a professor was killed.

This is so pure from the heart.

"Any shot of a bullet, Can stop a heart, But the soul continues To inspire to be strong, Showing true love" I took one of your masterfully written stanzas. I should've taken them all. This poem's so spiritually strong! Gorgeous in structure, smooth in read and wonderful to soak in. The words flow as a mountain spring to quench a reader's need for sustenance. Thank you for your lyrics, sir.
