St. Theresa of Liesieux
of The Society of The Little Flower
W. Peter Sanci April 10 / 2007
I’m sure we all know about St.Theresa of Liesieux,
Of the Little Flower of Jesus.
She was born in Alanson, France in 1873.
She was a saintly girl from the very start of her
Life.
In her short life she knew a great deal of strife.
The rules she followed were simple, you must be
be spending you’re time on this earth doing good.
Who would have known that she would rise to
sainthood.
Her symbol is as we all know a rose of any kind.
To receive a rose is a definite sign.
She became a Carmelite nun in 1888.
Her main job was that of training the young nuns,
Who were just coming into the order..
During her life she suffered greatly, though she
never stopped believing strongly.
She died on Sept. 30th, 1897.
She was made a Saint in 1925.
She has been one of my special Saints that I have
Prayed to all my life, and she has never let me down.
Author notes
I have always had a deep devotion to St Theresa the Little Flower. So I decided to write a poem about her. I actually learned some things about her. She was the greatest female St. in the Catholic Church, as far as I'm concerned. That is.
