Definition Of Me

I am me
Yeah real descriptive huh?
Now when I say I am me
I don’t mean I am a person

I mean I do who I am
I say what I mean
I speak from my heart
I fight for what I believe in
I don't care what they think
Forget them and their idol worship
I don’t follow crowds
Don’t get mixed in the hype

I’m a person who has seen tragedy
I survived things that would cause many to falter
I have been given so many chances
Sometimes I feel their all wasted
I don’t think I’m good enough at times
Others I feel I’m the best
I’m not arrogant or cocky
I’m a giving person
Trying to help others
I try to be a good person
But sometimes I feel I’m a bad one

I don’t care if this poem sucks
Because I’m not in it to win it
I’m here to tell you
I fight day in and day out
For what I want
I don’t let labels and stereotypes define me
I define my self
Bye not sticking labels on people

I’m an individual
Just struggling to make it
Hoping for the best


One day I’ll make it
I'll show the world
Sometimes different is better
I'll show them I'm not like the rest
