Yesterday's rain
slipped away
like candy coated tears
falling from a rainbow
Your love so bittersweet
as you stole my rumpled heart
filling my hopeful lungs
with your silkened enchantment
We danced in cadence
like a whimsical willow
unabated and consumed
by loves orchestra
Every passing second
new passions flowered
penetrating my soul
in our sweet lovers tryst
Suspended in magical bliss
sparkling like diamonds and dew
we knew of no tomorrow
falling into love with grace
A rainy slow Sunday
kind of loving, sailing together
on the clouds of heaven
desperately holding on to today
Never a tomorrow did we seek
never wanting our beautiful panorama
to end......
But like any sweet taboo
It did......
On a backdrop of a stormy day
that left me a heartbeat away from death
shattering my world
leaving me in a daze
Nine months, thirteen days
and a submersed second ago
they took you from me
leaving only a dusty rose behind
Although you're not here
we are together always
under a lovers moon
walking peacefully in dreams of tomorrow
Anticipating a homecoming
Soon my love, always soon...
Yesterdays rain always falling....
I got your letter today
it seems yesterdays rain
may be tomorrows rainbow
you're coming home......

This piece is so beautifully written and filled with so much emotion...the longing to be with someone that is away from us is a feeling that I know all too well.. your words bring that feeling to the surface and remind me of times long past when my hubby was away and I waited and waited for his letters or emails and longed for him to be by my side.
