I've lost myself, so many times...
It's hard to know who I really am.
Quiet and serious, loud and boisterous
and yet none of the above at times.
I've known the darkest pits of Hell
as intimately as a lover's caress,
and I've poisoned myself in almost
every way known to man.
Yet here I stand...
Who am I?
I am a mother, and a child,
a sister, cousin, niece, and aunt.
I am a listener, and a storyteller.
I am the rock your waves break upon,
and the softest, most sensitive being
who will cry with you in your pain,
and laugh with you in your triumphs.
I am an angel, and a devil,
and a lost soul drifting through Purgatory
searching for soft ground to take root in.
I am a wanderer, a dreamer, a lover
and a fighter. I am an hallucination.
Part of me is everything, and part is nothing.
I am unique, yet the same as you.
What sets me apart from the herd is this:
I love myself, for my faults and for my attributes.
I am at peace with myself.
I am whole.

Wow this is great. I feel like I am reading myself. Or at least the Old Part of me. Half of your Poem was me Then and the Other Part of the Poem is me now. I have been there and done that and now doing that. I loved it so much .I have lived and lived. I have seen the world, the good, the bad and the ugly. I don't want to return If I have to. Thank you for posting this one and God bless you. I enjoyed this write much.

Wow. I absolutely love it. My favorite line is definately "I am the rock your waves break upon,". You describe yourself so well in so many different ways. The ending is especially nice. I love how you talk about all the different things you are and then end it with how you love yourself and everything. Amazing piece.

you are that...
candle libra where the coat hook turns. the eternal internal question that can best be answered alone. this piece is a fine mixture of confession, confusion, expression and declaration. it's an amassed amalgamation of mass derivatives and elements seized in an exquisite moment of recognition. your last line states the obvious - the dust has come together now. ~ EZB

what a brilliantly put together piece of light
Who am I?
I am a mother, and a child,
a sister, cousin, niece, and aunt.
I am a listener, and a storyteller.
I am the rock your waves break upon,
and the softest, most sensitive being
who will cry with you in your pain,
and laugh with you in your triumphs.
I am an angel, and a devil,
at the end of this beautiful poem, you have come to terms with who you are, which is what you are, Crash. Your words are full of the self contradition of unity, and of truth. Those who dwell upon only one side, ususally as is cool these days, the stupid, boring part so often thought to be exciting, these are those without the courage to seek further, as you have to find the essence of all of us. That is themselves.
this is just simply beautiful . pure light, pure cool, pure sharp on it!
