I fear the night
for untold reasons;
many pertaining to you.
When the sun escapes
past the closing
door of horizon,
before I can shut
my oh so weary eyes,
your breath is
already hushing
against my ear.
I used to cherish
that sweet hot breath
carressing my skin,
but now that
I've been broken
and shattered,
I no longer hunger
for your touch.
Now I only
know--
to fear it.
There is no
such thing as rest
when you are
forcefully pressing
your body
against mine;
so unwillingly
wanted by me.
That coiling smile
of yours makes
me sick.
Your violation
swells so deep
inside my body--
I try to resist
but to no avail,
your hands are much
bigger than mine.
Red marks from
your filthy fingertips
are imprinted on
my skin--
and forever inside
my mind.
I'm past the point
of crying--
Considering it does
no good.
I'm on the edge
of dying,
From the sadness,
embarressment,
and hate.
But still,
I see you smile.
With a final thrust
of unruly brutality
you conclude
yet another
horrific nightmare.
You leave me
remembering the pain
and that repulsive
smile.
There are many
reasons why
I fear the night.
Author notes
I've personally never experienced rape, and I'm thankful for that, I'm sorry that anyone would have to go through this pain.
