Like a ship in a bottle lost at sea
I ask now what is to become of me?
Surrounding darkening water deep
Are waves that with my lifeline sweep
Another day
Now gone away
Overboard - I trip and fall
I’ve found the answer to it all

Author notes
The answer to it all, from my perspective, is Life and Death.
What falls between is very short, so live it while you can...

Lovely metaphor. I'm not too keen on the rhyme, but this poem really gets me thinking... Thanks for entering.

We are given this body as a sheel, to fulfil whatever our purpose is from God, some of us find it and a lifetime of good things, others contnually search and maybe feel at the end they come up empty handed, but if we have faith in our hearts, we are never really empty at all

I liked the anology of the ship, the bottle and being dumped over board. Yes, life is too short...we should all learn that each moment is too precious to waste. Good luck in your contest. ~Sie
