Garden thoughts

I sit silently in my garden,
            the early morning sun
            melts the grasses' dew,
and over on the wooded hill,
            the birds greet the day
            with their magnificent songs.
The low hum of a bee
            mutes, as it settles on
            a wild flower
            by my feet.

            God has surely done
            his best, working
            hand in hand
            with nature.

I watch the wisps of a few
            milk white clouds

            roaming the empty skies,
            and realise,
            I have never felt
as alone, as I do now,

            without really knowing

            why.

such a sigh to the ending here, for such light and smiling imagery beforehand, an unexpected twist. i can empathise, i am strolling similar feelings, though without the garden to sit in

    This is beautifully sad.
Nature does have a special way of
    keeping us company, especially when
    loneliness starts to come around.
I love the imagery in this. Well done and
thanks for sharing it here! Good luck
to you with it in the contest!
