The desert seems wide and endless,
I am wandering for days.
I do not have any compass.
How long will it take to find my destination?
Will it be days or months?
Or, will it take forty years like the Israeli tribes.

"I do not have any compass"
These few words say a lot about the helplessness. Sometimes thousands of words cannot express our mind but sometimes few words are enough. Liked the way you penned it.

I like the title and third line most.
"I do not have any compass."
I think this line describes the helpless situation at its best.
