It's not like you're here with me,
I'm sitting here smiling weakly,
It's not like you can ease the pain.
As I try to play your twisted game.
You're there to bring me joy,
But you use me like a wind-up toy,
And suddenly you'll disappear.
After making light of my dreams and fears.
I try so hard to break away,
To rid myself of your torturous ways.
But it doesn't matter what I say,
Because then I see your face.
Your eyes, deeper than any ocean,
Yet incapable of showing any emotion.
Your lips, so enticing that I must look away,
Lest they haunt all my fantasies.
But then you'll leave and I'll look like a fool,
You toy with my heart and it's really quite cruel.
I'll intend to forget you when you're not around,
I put up walls, but you always break them down.
You come and then leave for weeks at a time,
You make me a mess, I'll cry but I'm smiling.
You're destroying me, but I just can't stop you.
Maybe it's because I just don't want to.

I shall waste more applauses on the lovely Elizabeth! I think it's amazing how things just flow from the brain and we have no idea why they came out. What happens to be the case for me is- it's a memory I forgot but later remember or it's about a situation I am soon to encounter. I have visions of the future, as crazy as it sounds it's true.
