Mysterious sounds linger,
amidst echoes of frayed muse,
spinning webs of deceit
Tantalizing prose~
antagonizing efforts on parchment,
void; as unrequited love
Scrupulous endeavors in twisted tongues,
engage in scrimmage of discourse
Silken threads of thoughts, starched
Barren is my well of agony,
as dust now collects~
Upon my quill
Author notes
Oh! How I hate dusting!!

Now this is poetry, and I laugh as I see you author note...
The language is rich and the mood frustrated...and don't we all go through this. I love it!

I will agree with Reframing-Quill on her comments as your poem is most profound as I have found my ink well to be so empty at times.

I think that most poets have these days~ But to read this, I would have to say that it isn't dry at all
Good Luck to you!

Masterfully profound
Perhaps our Quill does get dry from time to time, but your love will always inspire and outlast the structures of time. There is real depth to this revealing struggle, memorably worthy of praise.
Thoughtful regards,
~Milly

Well love for saying you have writers block, or haven't been inspired
I'd have to say you have captured this well with your choice of words! I do think this is an excellent entry, good luck in the contest
