The early morning sun
Shines down on
The first blooms of spring,
Creating prisms in the dewy drops
That rest on blushful petals.
Two lovers sit hand-in-hand
In the tall grass
Leaning in to share a kiss
As the scent of wildflowers
Drifts through the cool breeze.
And he smiles into an ivory face;
Such beautiful perfection...
The intensity of love reflected in
Big brown eyes;
A shy, sweet smile returned.
Birds sing
From their tree-top nests,
Butterflies flutter past;
But nature's kiss could never compare
To the lips of true love...
