Inter Sanctum

Within these walls impenetrable ,
in shafts bright opal streaming in.
I find my own sweet inter sanctum,
where my psyche finds it's mend.

Pale whitened shades of deepened hues,
fade into shadowy phantoms black.
Hiding me from this days frustrations,
providing respite that I sorely lack.

Daily peril melt in midnight's darkness,
on liquid flow of  pallid
  Moonbeams drift.
As I fade into deep slumbered relaxation.

aggravations evaporate in vaporous mist.

Heaven found on sheets of silkened wonder,
my mind cradled on velvet feathered down.
Within these four walls of night time slumber,
in deep layers of silent cushioned clouds.

This poem really excudes peace and serenity...such a comfort one finds within your words. I can very much identify with the "night time slumber" here...when all is quiet and one can lay back and enjoy the moombeams and lay your head on "cushioned clouds" - lovely image there. You've done so well to give the reader a glimpse into your room, but also a view into dreams...so wonderful when our rooms truly become sanctums. A lovely poem.

Thank you so much for this entry.

I'd be a recluse if my room brought me such solitary enchantment. Simply divine, such serene imagery woven! Hugs,

An inner sanctum to rest the soul as well as the physical body. Sometimes (often) more important than physical rest. If the mind is not soothed and at ease then the body can hardly be expected to function properly.
Just one point: where you say palad do you mean pallid?

Daily peril melt in midnight's darkness,

(AH, tranquil words, gives my mind rest. How beautifully

depicted in this write.  (If only my aggravations would disappear,

    so easily).

    Peace/Mia
