'Jungle -Me

Turtle me~ into
the forest,
squirrel me
~into a tree,
snake me into the hiding creek,
Fish me into the sea.

Walrus me inside
the tundra~
lion me
mountain-wise,
bear me into the old dark cave
Toucan me to the skies.

Animal this sight
any day,
flower me
to my nose~
sprinkle in springtime’s shower baths
nectar each tasty rose.

This is how our God woos
his babes~
with sights
and smells, and touch
but only through His animals
He loves me twice as much!

What a novel way to see our relationship with animals. I love the play on words and how you use nouns (all the animals) as verbs to convey your thoughts on GOD's love for his creation. Love it!

Wow I really enjoyed this one. You've definitely got a gift when it comes to writing for children. Don't take offense to this, but it really reminded me Barney because I use to watch that show a lot as a child. So this was like a trip back down memory lane with all of the wonderful children songs I used to know by heart. Keep up the wonderful work. Children will love you <3 -TV

Well now Miss Cookie... I think you should put this to some wonderful illustrations and send it out where ya can to bring smiles ... and smiles... and smiles. It's really a cheerful and endearing write. I can hear the voice of someone reading this to a group of children and watching them ignite with the imaginings it brings.

    So nicely done- per usual...

    Have a wonderful night!
