I woke up late this morning,
my eyes half closed and bleary
I grabbed my morning coffee
still feeling quite tired and weary.
I sat down at my computer
and guilt quickly overcame me,
for a whole day I'd not logged in
to my online home of AP
The log in page was loaded
name, password, then button pressed
and left it for a few moments,
while i turned to then get dressed.
The surprise which then unfolded
as my pages came into sight,
I was amazed that I'd been hoodwinked,
while I'd slept soundly through the night
my smile of great proportions
spread right across my face
as I read your messages and comments
and hoodwinked hugs in every space
So to Poetic Bandits and Earth Angels,
most sincere thanks, I send to you
for your caring hearts and good wishes,
and for everything that you do.
You have started my day so brightly,
made me smile and so much more
and shown me the hand of friendship
that could never be ignored.
Thankyou all for giving me a wonderful start to this day.
