You are my chapstick memories
Hiding there in plain sight
That's an introduction
It reels you in and pulls you down
And sometimes it turns you
Inside out
My eyes are closed
Mostly now
And yeah
I brought this on myself
You are my self control
Broken, bruised, and on the floor
Stretched through veins
In puffs of smoke
...see, the stanzas are piling now
And mostly make no sense
Welcome to:
What's Inside My Head
You are my bitter loss
You are how I found myself
Somewhere in bleached corridors
And stacked shelves
These chewed fingernails and shattered sentences
Are lost among swirling words and faces
This is a poem
Its a loss of words
Traveling in-between worlds and fingertips
Chipped paint and cracked skin
And it's just dying to get in
Author notes
I had to, for you....
You made me break my writer's block, Nam...

I like how you put the poem in your poem. A wonder it doesn't cave in one it self. What the hell? I'm back on allpoetry. Must be the good old days.

Hrm, this was fantastic. You're writing well these days.
