Pink ice cream tastes so cool
Sitting at the edge of the pool
Warm sun at my back
There is nothing that I lack
A splash of water comes my way
Give me a minute I'll be back at play
A clean dive into the water
Playing sharks and minnows I go in for the slaughter
Sun is setting time to get dry
Get the jar ready for the firefly
Night has come I can go no more
I fall asleep content dreaming of what tomorrow has in store
Please tell me what you think

Posted 'Holiday' after getting inspired by 'Childhood Summer'. Keep inspiring with your writings.

Very charming and full of innocence
A poem depicting the effortless thoughts of a child. No wonder you play with toys as you have managed to keep your 'child' in your conscious mind. It also inspires me to post one of my poems that I thought was too childlike. Thanks for the inspiration.

Very nice
This was very well written and so true. No awkward rhymes. -
Summer and autumn are now gone - had one snow fall, but most of it is gone too. Thanks so much for that encouraging graphic. Loved it. Hope all is well with you.
Liked the flow, rhythm and rhyme in these lines - wonderful sentiments expressed very well - easy to read and understand.

You did a great job of depicting what a child's summer is like from their prespective. It's really nice.

Awww, this is so cute! It's exactly what a childhood summer is all about. Good job rhyming this too, no akwardness. Keep it up!
