Spike's Credo

I believe in the reality of the realm of imagination,
the value of a journey on the road less traveled,
the joys of youth and the wisdom of age,
the good and evil held deep within each heart,
the Saviour who died to cleanse our sin,
peace, love, rock and roll.

But the concept that the doctrines of simple education are more important than open-mindedness and creativity is absurd.

I believe in the power of skepticism.
I believe in the words of Emerson and Thoreau.
I believe in the change that can be made just by trying,
today, tomorrow, and forever more.

And I believe in the idea that if we all put everything, heart, mind, body, and soul into it, we can change the world and make a difference.

This was something that was written for a club at my school called The Writer's Block. We were all asked to write our own Bull Durham credos. I hope that you all enjoy it.
