I promise my self he won't hurt me.

He loved that girl with all his heart
the one he had on the side
and he didn't want to drop the other
thinking she was good for a ride.
He told her lies, and made them true
he made her believe it was love
all ran smoothly untill she said no
and he hit her right across the cheek.
I knew this girl who loved this boy
and wouldn't end it for anything at all.
He hit her, and beat her, demeaned her down
and no matter what she stuck around.
