The persuasion

An elf came up and spoke to me.
I looked him and down and saw.
This thin little man
trying to talk to me.

"Good sir," he did say,
"I hear the arts of magic be your thing,
now I know that you may think
the dark arts are the thing,
but just listen to the light in you."

He told me of many an elven man
who had tooken the path downwards,
he told me how they each did see
that in the end it all came to nothing.
He then told of many an elven man
who on the path of light did walk,
and when they came to the end,
had many who would beckon to his call.

This dwarf then came in to see,
what it was that was troubling me.
He immediatly told of his dear uncle jim,
who had met a dark sorceror once,
and did painfully die.

This wierd little hobbit
came up right then.
Getting his morning jogging in.
He listened to the tale and told
of a brave hobbit from long ago
who had traveled with a magician
and dwarves and claimed a mountain
back by force.

This same hobbit he said then went away
and saved a world on that day.
He told of how the brave wizard
fought to keep his allies
safe from harm, and how in the end
that same wizard did die,
but came back to life.

By this time a man walked by,
some billy or brandon or joe,
who knew?
He did however recall that wizard
it seemed he knew the man quite well.
He used to come over for tea at noon.

By this point a dragon showed up
to say he hated that wizard, and
I should not heed these men.
For he knew of many a sorceror
who had done great harm, but that they always
did it for the better of others.
He talked and talked and tried to wind his spell.
The many that were there could hold no courage
most of them bolted, save the hobbit
He curled up right there and stayed for a while.

The dragon told of great power he knew
and how he could teach me,
but I would have to be willing to lose
the interest of a few people on the way there

Up came the orc one of the warbound ones
I think he knew the others for he did not stay long.
He did however say how he had served the great sorceror,
and had never been done wrong.

I listened to this and with a cast of my hand
I brought down from the sky many a blast.
I looked at them all and in a clear voice said.
"I think I prefer to stay me."
With a blast of white light I was off like a shot.
