I was standing alone, using the phone, in the hospital waiting room
when I noticed a girl, who so rocked my world, that I felt my chest go BOOM BOOM.
I was put on a gurney, and made a quick journey, to the hospital’s ICU.
Everything was a blur, until I saw her, in her scrubs of azure blue.
Someday she would know, that my BP’s so low, 'cause I liked her so much at first sight.
She put cream on my chest, as I stared at her breast, so it went throughout most of the night.
By the dawn of next day, she said I was OK, and then waited for me to reply.
I grasped her sweet hand, it was just as I’d planned, and I gazed deeply into her eye.
"I say it was you, in your scrubs of fine blue, who gave me this horrible fright.
So, I say that it’s fair, as long as you dare, for us to go dining tonight."
She nodded her head, and I jumped out of bed, and kissed her fine face up and down.
And the date went allright, for this Saturday night, she’ll be wearing a white wedding gown.
Though now I confess, I took digitalis, to get her to give me her care.
A small price to pay, for the bond formed that day, cause we make such a beautiful pair.
