Voices
Do you hear the voices calling?
The voices of the free,
voices of the proud?
Why can't you hear me?
Can Anyone hear me?
Anyone at all?
My throat is getting tighter,
Please answer my call.
I feel myself collapsing,
falling to the floor,
waiting for someone
to just give me something more.
My heart is beating wildly,
my screams are shattering the glass,
you don't even give me a final glance,
like it takes all your strength to pass.
You pass me like I'm nothing,
pass me like you didn't know
that we were once so happy,
look to the voices below.

Welcome to allpoetry
Good job. I like the darkness of it. Its almost as if the voices are suffocating you. And yet the one voice you want to hear says nothing and pretends you aren't even there.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
Tammy

Thank You.
Thank You So Much Tammy! I'm so glad you got that from my poem since, well, that's actually how I meant it to be like.
