My pain is not the blade in My side
Nor the cross I carried to My death
My pain is that soon it will be time
To wipe the slate clean of the indecent
Such a wonderful plan it was
To live a life as flesh and blood
Not so did it turn out for the best
All have put My words to the test
Now is time of greed and power
Times of hate and abusive trust
Come my children home with Me
This that happens not for you to see
My eyes are sad, My heart is broken
The rest I must destroy
The plague has run at it's full speed
Invoking harm to My children indeed
Come My children home with Me

Newer world awaits you, at My command
A place of joy and purity, just for you
Be damned the old and become the new
All thats left is heaven and you
The price was paid and nows the time
Prophecy told and some didn't mind
Kings have failed and judges too
Changed the rules that I gave you
Causing panic and deceit
Plans of changes we knew would come
Worsen the results as they have done

A truly intense and passionate poem that could have been penned by an old testament prophet. Congratulations on winning the silver trophy. You certainly deserved it and more. Although I can't claim to call myself a Christian, I deeply respect anyone who has an unwavering faith in the redemptive powers of light, love, truth and beauty.

This has a lyrical feel with the repetition,like a comforting chant with the open embrace to come to me.It explores well the pity and the pitfalls of the human race and paints a picture of sadness across the face of his grace.
Congratulations on the silver with your spiritual write,I have a suggestion,not a criticism,have you considered leaving a space at the end of your poems? I used to post mine when the last line had been written on the page but had the tip given to me that if I left a space instead between the last line and the end of the page it added a sense of being complete,allowing the reader to linger longer within the thoughts provoked by the poetry instead of reading immediately the contest details etc,just a thought my friend,for the future,should it seem like an idea you may like to try

I love these type of writings and started out years ago reading and writing about these subjects. it was on a personal basis first of what was on my mind at deep thought, then changed me from a non-reader to reader of many things that had to do with the subjects of the bible, spirituality, rightousness, self awareness, and worth, And many of the faith based actions that I do now out of habit.
