You never really said goodbye as you were walking out the door.
And suddenly I couldn't take it anymore.
You'd promised me forever.
But I should've known we'd not be together.
I cried until that lonesome night.
The night right after that huge fight.
The time I crawled into the bathtub and slit my throat.
Just to watch the blood float.
But I guess now it is so long.
I just never was very strong.

this was a great write and i really enjoyed reading this poem..it reminded me of me in some parts and its always sad..and heartbreaking when you dont get the chance to say goodbye..this was a good write keep writting and good luck in the contest
