In my moments of disillusionment
I search for you
Through the vastness of the world
The darkest parts of my mind
Seeking the comfort of finality
Finding you briefly in the arms of fortitude
only to lose you again within my dreamscape
You are many colors, shapes and sizes
Speaking many tongues
I have heard your languages
Felt your expressions
Experienced your longings
Known your values
Respected your traditions
Eventually in my lifetime
I will find you
Or you may find me
As we seek the same
infinitive destination
In a list
Please tell me what you think

Excellent
It is ironic that we spend our lives in search of someone or something, only to realize that finding them or it marks the beginning of the next search. Perhaps as old souls we poets keep searching for something that came and went long ago, in a life before this, and we keep waiting for it to return, always feeling as though something is missing. Always feeling as though something is there just beyond the edge of our vision and if we turn fast enough we'll catch a glimpse of it. No matter how fast we turn, a glimpse is all we get.
This is a beautiful write and embodies so much longing and so much acceptance. Good luck in your search for the secrets!

Soulful words
This is a wonderful read, both satisfying and insprational. Life is indeed a constant quest for me, and you frame it so well with your soulful words. With quality writing like this, somewhere, out there, your voice is heard. It could be a prayer for life.

Put there somewhere is a heart waiting to find you...and that infinitive destination will be mapped by ahnds of love.

Lovely
Noreen,
Your write well defines our quest in finding a blissful serenity. You final verse is both lovely an insirational---expresses "Love and be loved"
"Eventually in my lifetime
I will find you
Or you may find me
As we seek the same
infinitive destination"
Through so many years of pain, I finally found the one to share our "infinitive destination"
Thanks for sharing such a heartfelt piece.
Take care,
Bo
