Soldier

All my life I've been a soldier
Fighting for my freedom
With all the odds against me
I'm still living
I'm still here
I'm just like a hurricane
Destroy everything in my way
All of the lies and all of your misconceptions
Is the thing of the past
A brush off my shoulders
Fell enough times
But, managed to get right back up
Planted firmly to the ground
Strong in every sense of the word
Won my internal struggle
I've claimed what was once mine
Life keeps on dropping bombs
But, I've stayed strong
I'm still standing
I'm still hanging on

Author notes

    An Awesome

Biography of sorts. The strength of the soldier flows
from this piece. Your strength was tested, and you
    came through it seems. Bravo!

I like this poem, it shows strength and I like that. I think that we are all soldiers in a way, it just depends on what you are fighting for and who you are fighting...we might not all be in the Army, but we are all soldiers.
    Keep up the great writing,
    ~Alix
