My life once mourned to be alone,
Never knew death wanted it like so,
For the rain had all come quick at once.
The air had wept and wept upon my face,
Drenched my fingertips sullen and bruised.
My attempt to put the time to sleep,
until my love you came so suddenly,
You sent the rain away at once.
The sky brought sheets of yellow ray,
Golden light stood upon my grave.
Inside your palm you held the heaven,
where a feild of lilies stood upon,
as your sighs exhaled a cherub's air.
A cherub in all her love and care
My nights was without no light, no light...
but yet you bathed the stars clean and bright.
So my love you ask to be alone,
Then I shall ask this soul to go...

Wonderfully poetic imagery. I can really see how whoever your 'person' is, they really brightened up your life. One typo: 'feild' is spelled 'field'.
N'kay?
Best of luck in the contest, and God Bless!
