I am digging blindfolded
nails chipping in the dirt
rough edges of a concrete stone
bruise my aching fingers
I could have ...sworn
I saw you buried here.

I really enjoyed this piece, economy of words but conveying so very much and the last line is just brilliant, loved it

Ooh, this is pretty cool, once you get to the ending and it kinda hits you on the head. I love reading stuff where the ending seems to reveal something that wasn't previously stated, or just adds that extra kick to the piece.

All I can say is "wow!". Very rarely do I ever get blown away by a short poem, or as a matter of fact any poem, but this is one huge exception.
This has such a dark, but meaningful feel to it; I'm astounded. That last line; it comes and takes away the breath of the reader.
As for theme, yes it is scary when we've lost ourselves somewhere along the way. The topic been repeated on here in the last couple of days; the universal mind must be working overtime. This is by far the best piece I've read on the subject, though. Seriously, this is just ... Like before- I'm astounded.
Excellent piece.

Wow, you don't waste words, do you? Each word has a purpose, each word forms part of the powerful imagery. Love the lack of punctuation, it flows so well. Great twist at the end.
Hmmm, searching to find ourselves.. here's hoping we all find ourselves before we die. Best of luck for the contest.

I love this. It's... I don't know, simplistic but absolutely beautiful. Morbid and yet... not. I think my favorite part is, "I could have... sworn/ I saw you buried here."
