Scrabble for Dummies

You speak in codes I don’t understand
send signals that confuse me,
still I want to play with you
for you have the words I need
the structure to complete me.
Without you I am a participle dangling,
a doppelganger waiting to echo your sigh,
and a word out of time.

I am rounded by your consonants
and programmed to your DNA
in coloured purple prose
that flutters my tail feathers
and leaves me thinking like an ass.
Chaos reigns when you are near
I am overwhelmed by your diction
but could I have a vow please?

Please tell me what you think

Ms Kethry, (firstly I've been missing your print - almost starting to worry. I was thinking rich new friend find, to hell with poetry, cruising the Mediterranean.) – Lovely poem to twist around the words that flow daily. ---- Thank you.

      Wattle

Hi Wattle, you never have to worry about me running off with a rich man - I don't move in those circles and you are the only man for me after poetry and my grandson.

(Noted) I guess third prize is OK, too.
