Thinking about world peace.
How can it be achieved?
How can it ever be done,
when we don't have respect
enough to work as one?
We find it all around us,
even in our schools.
Not every one understands,
"we were all created equally."
I believe that it's true.
The question is,
what about you?
Equlity does not exist
when certain chosen students
are given special privledges,
smart "nerds" are a laughing stock,
and gays are nothing short of scandal.
No, equality does not exist
no matter what we say.
World peace we'll only find,
when we are all accepted
for simply who we are.
When I can sit with you,
and you can sit with me.
World peace can start this small.
It starts with you
and it starts with me.
This is what I believe.
And it's that simple.

This is amazing.
I love it.
I agree that people should be treated equally and you express your ideas and thoughts beautifuly in this poem. I like the little snatches of rhyme too.
I love the lines :
When I can sit with you,
and you can sit with me.
Thank you for entering and Good Luck!! -
this is an a.m.a.z.i.n.g. poem, it expresses a zillion feelings, i can taste your ideas and everything is BEAUTIFUL! peace is just that simple. it can be as simple as just laying back in the grass eating a lime popsicle, but not thinking about how ugly so-and-so is or if your hair looks good.
a beautiful poem! keep writing!
