The rain blurs the world outside my window,
Sending shadows to the depth,
Me lying here, you elsewhere,
Falling…falling into the puddles,
This dream stance leaves me hazy,
Vulnerable to all else,
You couldn’t stand to see me,
Couldn’t even be with all of the trauma.
Climbing higher, and losing my grip,
Reality has seemed to dissolve and decay,
Into each and every tear drop from the sky,
Here one minute, gone the next,
Sounds familiar, oh so familiar,
I hate this cage,
It is built upon my insanities,
My countless mistakes rolled up into you.
Noises seem so bubbled,
Any words just pass through one ear, and out the other,
This drunkenness without the Alcohol,
This is being broken beyond repair, still functioning all the same,
The trumpets blare inside this world,
The queen is coming to steal you away,
Arguing is useless,
And the actuality of tears is pointless,
Watch the stars, watch for me,
Though I am caged now, someday I will be free,
Panther…panther hold me tight,
Never…never let me out of your sight.
Darkness comes to steer me North,
Send me onto oblivious sin,
Always…always puddle dances,
With hello goodbye advances,
Panther…panther watch the door,
Panther…panther leave me be, I want no more,
The queen has come and gone,
Wake me up when my childish dreams fight the dawn!
Onward…onward, mush I say,
No devil I do not want to play,
Fare the well moon, fare the well wind velocity,
Echo…echo woebegone,
Transformations take to long,
Laying here playing make believe,
A pooka bear trapped in a window sill,
Staring up at the ceiling, waiting for the chill.
Panther…panther watch your back,
Panther…panther what was that?
No heart, no mind, a useless rhyme,
Forever blank, forever always you seem to stray,
Farther...farther faster,
you sunk my battleship, ate my heart, and left me here crumpled like a ball,
a captain going down with her ship,
swimming faster, and losing motion.
Morning wakes, and my heart brakes,
dream stance left, no shoes upon the carpets edge,
as if you were never here, never near,
silly me, silly you, silly dreams!
