My sweet Jaden, how I loved thee.
That sparkle in your eye, the shine that glistened from your hair.
The petite - ness that was you.
The giggles that escaped and exposed your nature.
Your curiosity and care free soul.
Your kind and loving heart that betrayed your every move.
Your silly continuous questions, your confused look of misplaced faith.
The small spirited hands that enclosed in mine.
The tiny salty tears my fingertips would brush away.
My sweet Jaden, how I loved thee.
The realization of your misunderstandings.
Your sweet conscious overcome with guilt. Your new tortured and hateful soul.
The wants and desires you could never let go of.
The way your devastated heart would radiate your beauty, enhance it, capture it.
Your ungraceful way of aging, defying, lying, contemplating brought me such joy.
The princess in you grew up, hurtling you into an unfamiliar world.
Your existence gave me such pleasure. My purpose was to watch you grow, develop, transform. It’s the help I once gave you that I often remember most on those cold and dreary days.
My love don’t you remember how even after your world would shatter, after you realized the puzzle piece wouldn’t fit you never strayed too far. I hope by now you’ve realized that you needed me. I made you who you are.
